Before materials are disturbed

A document review and site inspection are distinct from laboratory analysis. A qualified person determines the appropriate scope and whether unknown content must be analyzed or handled under another compliant approach.

Before work starts

Confirm reporting, notice, display, record and local-government requirements with the responsible parties. Keep evidence of the survey scope and any inaccessible areas.
