Japan's requirements depend on the asset, work, effect on existing materials, start date, size and location. The checker keeps those questions separate and explains which facts are still missing.

- Confirm the work scope with the principal contractor.
Thresholds are not the whole rule
The often-quoted 80 m² and ¥1 million figures concern particular government-reporting routes. They do not, by themselves, mean that a pre-work survey is unnecessary.
